The Bean revisited

The Bean: 11 weeks 3 days. As Dr. Selman was taking its picture, Bean decided to start posing so this is his "full frontal" shot. Notice head, 2 arms, and 2 legs. Great heartbeat and everything looks ok.

So sweet. I like how Bean has its dukes up! We also called Miss M "Bean" before she was born. :)

Why not tell your son about God? let him know the other side. Seriously do you 100% know you are right about what happens when we die? I don't think so,seeing how you're still alive...

Thanks for your random comment "Anonymous". I think you were referring to my previous post about telling my son about death.

My son is 3 1/2 and probably will not understand what "god" is to some people at this age. Therefore there's no need at this time for me to tell him that some people believe that there is a magical person living up in the sky pulling the strings. When the time comes that I believe he is old enough to understand such concepts, he'll be taught about ALL the different gods of the world that have been worshipped in the past and present.

Because, after all, who says your "god" is the right one, if one exists at all?

On a side note, since you're so concerned with my teaching my child about your "god", are you planning on teaching your children (if you have them) about Allah, Zeus, Odin, Jupiter, Hera, Mercury, Mithras, Osisris, Ra, Sekhmet, Vishnu, Kali, Buddha (though not technically a "god"), the Native American creation gods, Quetzacoatl, and the hundreds of other "gods" worshipped by human beings?

Just wondering.

Um,yeah, wrong post...but seriously..we are Christian and we haven't even brought up God yet, and Punk will be seven in two weeks.. why introduce your kids to things they for one, don't understand, and two, couldn't give two poots about?

Some of us are smart enough to let our kids be kids while they have the chance and not burden them with things like this..they have their whole lives ahead of them to have the weight of the world on their shoulders, wonder if they are doing the right thing, or even trying to live up to the expectations of a person they may never meet (and IF they do, they will be dead).

It's best to use the KISS method with kids. Alessia is a smart woman and raising her kid the way she feels is right. I applaud her for that.

RE: Bean: Adorable! Glad things are going well!

RE: Stupid commenters: I get all warm-n-fuzzy and brain-gasm-y when you're all smartified in your comments like that.

You're so lucky! My baby never cooperates with any of the ultrasounds. But the Bean is sooo cute!!! Are you hoping for a boy or girl?

I wonder if they realize we do know what happens when we die:
1. You get pumped full of chemicals, shoved in an overly expensive box, then buried; where you rot.
2. You get stuck in a large furnance where they heat you to such a degree that your body turns to ash, then they give 10% of the ash in another rather expensive box/vase, while then selling other 90% of your ashes as fertilizer! Where AGAIN you rot....
Pretty clear cut to me!
