In Remembrance

I found your blog today and have read a lot of your writings. From what I have seen you are an exceptional human being, you love your husband and son and really enjoy life. And all this while being an atheist. If only the religious zealots could look past their closed minded views and see that we are people that care about the world as much as they do, if not more.
This is a day that we usually remember bad things, so thank you for enlightening my September 11th. I will visit your blog often.

Mark,

Your comment blew me away. I am utterly flattered and speechless (which is rare, believe me) at your words. Thank you so much for your kindness and comment. I will try my best not to disappoint. Thank you again.

Very well said. If people want to be patriotic today more than any other day, it won't be from waving a flag and chanting U-S-A-U-S-A, it will be from standing up for freedoms, protecting minorities from violence because they "look like a terrorist" and restoring our civil liberties and rights. That is why I served in the military. It definitely wasn't because I worshipped Reagan or any gods.
Thanks for the "in your face" look at naming a day of tragedy as if it was something we should be proud of.

Alessia! You're SLACKING! Heh.

So, I decided to tag you for a meme so you'd have a bit more blog fodder. LOL

You can find all the rules over at my place. ;)
